Big Machine Music (BMM), a subsidiary of HYBE America, added the singer-songwriter matt roy to its roster of writers with an exclusive co-publishing deal.
The New Jersey native started playing music when he was 12 years old. Attracted to storytelling in country music, Roy landed his first publishing deal before graduating from Belmont University in 2018. Since then, he has landed tracks on Kane Brown and Chris Youngas well as newcomers Ashley Cook and Adam Doleac. In 2020, Roy landed his first chart-topper with the multi-week, gold-certified #1 hit “Done”, which was co-written and recorded by Chris Janson.
Earlier this year, Roy released his first EP, Wild flower, which includes five self-penned songs. He’s recently been on the open road for Morgan Wade and others.
